Default Best Shop for 996 Repair in Northwest

Hi,
I am looking for a shop - independent or dealer - one that really knows Porsche and the 996 model. Looks like I need a camshaft solenoid or actuator repair and I am I uneasy with the current shop.

Any recommendations in the Seattle/Tacoma/Bellevue area?

Thanks in advance!
Rudy

I have my car worked on at Gerber Motorsports in the Magnolia part of Seattle. They are local for me and do mostly Porsches. I like them.

I have also had work done at Chris's German Auto Service in Redmond. They are bigger but also very well regarded.

Aker's on Broadway in Seattle is another well known Porsche specialist but I have not tried them. If you go there, you have the option of going up the street to Big Mario's for pizza. My favorite. Great atmosphere if you like tattoos.

Thanks for tips. Any experience with the mechanics at Porsche Bellevue?

I have used Akers and was very pleased with the service. Have heard many good reviews on Chris's German Auto. Also, have had good experience with Bristow's in Tacoma.

The Porsche Bellevue dealer has a beautiful new showroom and shop. I have not worked with them but have visited to look at the new dream cars. They certainly would be competent and happy to help. That said, I like the smaller shops because they are familiar with working on older cars and I am able to interact directly with the mechanics about the job.

I take both of mine to Chris's German. Chris, John, and everyone are fantastic. High praise with no complaints.

The real question is if there is a decent place on the Olympic peninsula? At least you live in a somewhat civilized area.

Chris' German Auto, hands down. He's our IMS Solution Certified Installer in that region, for good reason.
