Help. I removed the "for sale" sign I had unfortunately taped inside the back of my dad's 1999 Carrera Cabriolet. I removed the sign when the car was in the hot sun and some of the tape adhesive stuck to vinyl. It is only about .3 of an inch by 2 inches, but my dad will freak. So far I have only tried warm soapy water and that did nothing but scuff up the vinyl a little. Any suggestions appreciated as I'm afraid to use any solvents.

Someone suggested I use pure gasoline and I did. It did the trick and so far no discoloration etc.
