IO Port radio camera interface

Anybody using one with a smartycam?

It would be interesting to capture some of the radio communications on videos. Sometimes I would have to edit things out as the women on our team have some foul mouths ;) but for the most part it would be OK.

If you add an external mic, can you balance ambient noise and the radio pretty well? Any issues?

A few people have used them. Rick Betterly has posted about it a bunch. I'm sure search would turn things up.
