Something I thought I would share with everyone - It's a good idea to have a diagram or schematic of your data system. I include these with all of my more complex systems (and even some of the less complex). These are really helpful when you go back to add sensors, break a wire, or can't remember how you set things up.

They are also great when planning out a new system. It can help you plan for what sensors you will need, (roughly) how long of wire/patch cables you will need, and other components you might need.

These are pretty simple diagrams. You should see some of the crazy documentation the wiring guys put together!
