The builder is really great. I've done a bunch with them including some really cool custom ecu protocols.

Sure would have been nice if it worked for the Evo4 and SoloDL. :-/

Because of the hardware in those devices and the programming, the ability for user defined CAN templates won't be released for them. Sorry. If you need something special made, send me a note and I'll see if I can help get it done for you.

Nope. This release is for the configuration and calibration software for the "new" line of loggers and logger/displays. We will need to wait for the release of Race Studio 3 Analysis software for that.

Robbie and Stefano are capable of providing, over time, custom protocols or improvement in existing protocols, so that is the avenue for the older equipment like the Solo DL/EVO4/MXL lines.

LOVING the new CAN Driver Builder, works flawlessly on CAN1 or CAN2. Thank you AiM!

Latest firmware update allows programmable auto-off on Solo/Solo DL 10/20/30 minutes.

Added in menu configurable auto power off time (10/20/30 minutes)

This will help with the always on OBDII power cars like the Viper ACR.

Does this allow us to log sensors on our aim device that we are otherwise not able to log?

I assume you are talking about using sensors with a Solo or Solo DL? No, they will not take any direct sensor inputs.

Sorry, I meant with an aim dash like the mxl2...for example if my car logs oil pressure in the ecu but the aim dash cannot display or log oil pressure because it's not one of the 37 parameters that are originally logged from the Ecu then could I use the feature in this update to pull oil pressure data on my aim mxl2?

Only if you can pull and identify the associated PID's from the CAN stream supplied by the vehicle.

Then, enter that info into the CAN Builder and transmit. I'm sure Matt can talk you through it.

If you have time, feel free to help him too Peter. You said you just got the CAN sniffer, this would be a nice little show and tell.
