Not sure what you mean by that...at startup there is a box that talks about the two video options but nothing is selectable there. I chatted with Joris and he said the Mac built-in codecs can't deal with the SCHD files. He tries to detect that based on the filename and provides a pop-up error telling the user about it.
I had renamed my files so I was just getting the first frame of the video, but I couldn't scroll to pick laps. It showed the video as 0 seconds.

I don't have a Mac to check on, but the latest firmware update for the SCHD says it has "Metadata management compliant with Mac OS x QuickTime Movie Player"
Hopefully this fixes the playback problem for all the iOS users.

VLC Player, FTW.
Set it to be the default player and you can edit/trim and play any codec on a Mac or Windows computer.

Lots of people like to use Quicktime. Doesn't matter to me how they choose to do things. Just giving the info out. Hopefully it helps them out.
