What is the best way to migrate my AiM software settings to a new computer? - WIN 10
Moving to a new laptop and would like to bring all of my configurations and data for Race Studio and Smarty Manager with me.
Search yielded some older techniques but figured I had better ask the brain trust.
Thanks

A couple of options:
1) http://www.aimsports.com/pdf/Migrating-Files-RS2.pdf
2) I just had to restore my laptop from a backup as the hard drive failed. I reinstalled all the apps from AiM's installers, and then restored the contents of c:\AIM_SPORT and C:\Program Files\AIM
It worked perfectly. Note I use RS3 since I have a MXL2.

Here is what I do. It's based on my like to start installs "clean" without bringing over any issues that I may have had in old software.
I export my profiles to a folder. I also have multiple different math channels sets that I have saved in a folder. I copy these over to the new computer and then import the profiles and math channels (the math channels are as needed).
Then, I copy all the data over from the data file (it's different in RS3 than RS2), then import it all. This is the part that takes a while. I usually do it as a big chunk and then just let the computer chug for a while.

I've just been through the same, and I have about 500 .drk files.
Problem is that you can't import them all at once. I had to select batches of about 30 of those, or I'd get an error.

This season I moved to a Surface Pro 4 and it took a while. But I'm happy to report no issues. Just need to cross your T's and dot your I's.
