How to set fuel level on AiM MXL Pista
I have an MXL field that displays the gas tank level.
Current range is set to a minimum of 1 and a max of 200.
Does the display show the # of gallons or the percentage full?
Neither is consistent with a max of 200.
Thanks in advance

Where do you see that range? If it's on the channels page in the setup, that is the min and max that the graph for that measure will default to, not the min and max it will read (though they could be the same). It's marked as liters, but 200 liters/52 gallons doesn't make sense. What does your dash read when the car is full versus mostly empty?

We can ask Italy to look at this, but I think it will end up pretty far down on the To Do list. They are working pretty hard on a few projects and it's almost summer vacation there.
What has it read when it's empty?

I don't do empty
Doesn't say gallons or liters, just gives the #.
No problem. I have this thing about things working properly, but my Porsche gauge works fine and will suffice.
Thanks for thinking about it.

On the config page, it should say if you are reading in gallons or liters. I'm guessing it says liters, so maybe change it to gallons and see what you get. If you really only have a 17 gallon tank, it might be pretty close to accurate, just reading in liters.

Old thread but I hope one of you can save me some time. I've just purchased this fuel level sender adapter to get proper fuel readings on my AIM MXP dash. https://www.bimmerworld.com/Fuel-Lev...r-Adaptor.html Does anybody have a fuel table calibration already created for a 997 GT3? Even if it's not completely accurate, it will be a good starting point rather than draining my fuel tank to go through live measures as I fill it up again. My fuel tank happens to be full now.... Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!

You should just calibrate it yourself. Completely empty the tank, then add back in 1 gal at a time to draw the graph. It may be linear, but doing this will ensure it is accurate.

Whatever you do, you will need to calibrate it yourself. You do not have to drain your fuel to do that. If your fuel is now full, then that's your first data point. Drive the car and consume fuel down to certain levels (3/4, 1/2. 1/4. Reserve), then fill it back up to full from those levels to determine what your actual fuel level was at that indicated level. All you need to know is your total fuel capacity. From my experience the calculation is fairly linear.
