981 left lower dash panel removal?

I need to get to the gateway connector to install the AIM CAN cable. There are many other wire cables in the way to properly see the gateway wires. The pcar dealer said to remove the left lower dash panel where the ignition and light switches which will make it a lot easier to see the gateway wire harness.

So, does anyone have instructions on how to remove the lower panel?
I would guess the same instructions would be for a 991.

Thanks,

I have posted a picture guide on how to do this. Fuse panel surround and kick panel forward of the lower door hinge needs to be removed. No need to do the lower dash or go to the gateway connector.
