Circular polarizer for Smartycam HD2
I posted this on the GT3 forum, but realized it would be a bitter fit here. I've been looking for a circular polarizer to get rid of the video reflections on the windshield from having the camera mounted inside my GT3. Finally found one that would fit the Smartycam HD2. Here is a link:

And here is some video using the new setup:
I've been struggling to get the time stamp correct on the video. I saw another post on that, and tried to modify the settings on the SoloDL to see if it would readjust but haven't had any luck. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Did you go to the menus on the SC? Guessing the time zone is set wrong. As far as I can tell I have only been able to change it is on the SC itself.

Thanks, cool deal on the polarizer.
On the camera, select Menu>Settings>Time Setting. Then scroll down from the top by selecting Next>GMT>then for Eastern Time, set it to -5 and make sure DST (Daylight ST) is YES
Back out by selecting Exit on the bottom center.

Can you check your BH link or post up the item number? Seems to just take me to the home page.
Thanks for figuring this out. Great way to improve the SC HD.

Strange - not sure what happened to link. Here are part numbers:
B&H# XPMP36 : Mfr# XPMFP36
Here is another try at the link. Maybe it changed.

Yes. I was thinking of taping around the perimeter, but it stayed on for two track days with the standard magnetic install, so I think no additional steps will be necessary to secure it.
