Default Having trouble importing Smartycam data in RS2

This seems like it should be simple, but after much searching, I still can't seem to get it done. I have a Smartycam GP (non-HD) slaved to an Evo4

RS2 is looking for .drk files, which I can't find on the recorded Smartycam GP data/chip.

I can open video, and watch that, with G's, and RPM. I can also use the button to "import Smartycam data", but I can't get any tests to show up - again no .drk files? What am I missing?

One other odd problem is that I the Smartycam is not showing up when I connect it by USB. I get the connection sound, but it does not show up, and Smartymanager says no device connected.

When I am connected to the Evo via USB it identifies the Smartycam, but I can't modify the Smartycam through that.

Thanks guys!

Sorry, Eric. The EVO4 doesn't send data files to the original SC's. The Solo DL, EVO3 and MXL Pista do, but not the EVO4.

Would LOVE for them to add this feature back in, but it's not looking likely...

Well that explains things. I know where to look going forward. The dash did warn me that it has data on it when I transmitted a new configuration - makes sense now.

No way to display predictive lap timing on the MyChron3 dash either, I suspect?

I am starting to miss my old Traqmate :-)

Thanks for the help, Peter!

Don't believe so. You could change to a G-Dash, MXL Dash, or GT Steering wheel and get it. The Evo4 has it, but the MyChron 3 dash can't display it.

Thanks, Matt. Once the $$ pain of the new racecar build fades, I will look into at least a G-Dash, and maybe moving to an MXL-2.

I may run dual systems, and put back in the TM system for just the predictive timing alone for now.

If you don't want to have to plug into the Evo4, you can run a memory key. They work very well and let you download data away from the car. All you need for that is an open 5 pin spot in a data hub (which I'm guessing you have).
