What happened to RaceRender 3? What are people using instead?
I’m setting up a “new” laptop for track data support and went to download racerender. The website is down. The form and doc site is up but not the main site and download pages.
anyone know what’s up?
is there another basic tool people are using for extracting video segments?

RS3 will export portions of a SmartyCam video with a single button click. You can also use VLC to make clips

VideoSplit does the same thing for VBOX video. But I think the OP is wanting to render data on top of the video post-process. Don't have an answer for that.

Nah, I just like something to easily trim, all the data is already there from SmartyCam. RR3 is second nature at this point. A little sad if it)s now dead.
i found the last installer for RaceRender on my old computer, so I have that as a backup, but I’ll check out the segmented export from RS3. Thanks.

The clipping tool is the scissor button in the movies window. The video clip will be for whatever data is shown (lap, segment, zoomed, etc). It's super easy.
