Default date and time on Aim MXL don't update

After I set the current date and time on my Aim MXL, when I check it the next day it has not updated to the current date and time. I do have the GPS08 connected to it.
Should it update and have the correct date and time the next day?
thanks
Dave

If it's an MXL Pista, you need to set the time with RS2. Then if it won't keep it, I believe there is a battery in the dash that loses power eventually. You might just need that coin cell changed.

In Race Studio on the device Configuration page, there is a "Set acquisition system time"
Once I set that from the PC time, do I need to transmit the configuration again to the Aim MXL? If I already configured it, will it hurt to re-transmit the configuration.
I can't find any reference online or in the user manual for a coin battery in the Aim MXL?
thanks
Dave

The battery is normally changed by AiM if you send it in.

The time transmit only does the time. It will not disturb your config.

This is an old Pista, correct?

Try this first. Don’t need to transmit, it will send the COMPUTER time to the Pista.
