If you want to learn about using the data, this book will explain it and not require you to read Peter disagreeing with me. https://www.amazon.com/Analysis-Tech...s%2C108&sr=8-1
Jorge also did some webinars that I thought he had recorded for purchase later. I can ask him if you would like info. He also likes track temp and has larger data sets than me

There is a whole chapter on it. Jorge had started to do even more with tire temps when he did his online seminars in 2020. Many of the things you do with regular tire temps in pitlane apply, but know you can look at the same thing dynamically while the car is on track, in a corner. For systems with programmable CAN, I think these wireless are the best thing going https://trailbrake.com/alsense-tire-...e-temp-system/ Very simple wiring and mounting. Batteries to get you through 2 days at the track. They are really slick.

VBOX allows completely customizable CAN.

Sure, but for the little price difference, I prefer the plug and play of the VBOX systems. Batteries? Pffft.

I thought the same thing about the batteries when I first heard about them, but the system is really nice. No more making a harness, routing it, and plugging everything in. Not to mention the challenge of finding connectors right now. And, that takes skill to make a nice wiring harness and money. The wireless sensors only require a short harness to the receiver, are easily mounted. The difference in price is only slightly more than the wiring for the other systems. Oh, and these are ready to ship
Also, the Alsense have a more compact mounting solution that many other systems. The mounting of the vbox (Izze) sensors takes up more room radially than these do. I went through this with someone last week where the tight confines in the front wheel well made these a much easier install.
@thuggo If you have the CAN info on the vbox sensors, I can see if I can set this system to the same addresses and configs. Then it should be plug and play.

The wiring harness is complete and included with the VBOX Tire Temperature kit. All connectors are included and it’s plug and play.
They even supply the initial scene with a choice of 4/8/16 temp slices, depending on your choice of sensors made at purchase. Also, you can specify 60 or 120 degree width scanning, depending on the distance from the mounting to the tire tread.
There a a couple dozen RLers who have added this and they are very pleased.

The difference being far less than the cost of a harness, connectors, terminations and assembly. And already done! Big benefit is plug and play. No custom CAN or any other fiddling.
