Aim gps connection question
We just bought a new race car with an AIM smarty Cam system. It also has the evo 4. The question is that there is only one wire connection to the back of the smarty cam, to the five pin connector , the GPS 4 pin connector is not connected but the GPS module does go into the Evo four. Does this mean that the GPS is being run through the Evo and then into the smarty cam, that we don’t need to have the connection into the smarty cam itself for the gps?

Correct! No GPS to the camera needed. You're all set.

The Evo4 will share all the GPS info. Do not connect a GPS to the camera or it will cause problems.
I'd suggest getting caps for the unused ports on the Evo4 and the GPS to protect them.
