128Gb microSD and Smartycam HD
I recently "upgraded" laptops to a model that doesn't have a full size SD card reader, only micro. So I figured I'd take this opportunity to get a larger 128Gb card. I purchased a Transcend card based on past success with the Smartycam. I've tried formatting it in the camera but it just keeps telling me it needs to be formatted again and again. I'm running firmware 01.04.46. I see that others have had this problem but nobody seems to post up if they solved it. I can't format 128Gb card to FAT32 in Windows and the camera doesn't seem to be handling it well either. Suggestions?

ExFAT also works for SDHC and SDXC (above 64 GB) cards.

Support on 128 cards is spotty. I think the largest that actually works all the time is a 64. My cards are mostly 16 and 32.

microSD cards and adapters are not recommended due the vibration and a second set of contacts (internal to the adapter and from the adapter to the camera).
AiM put out a bulletin early on in the SmartyCam HD release, stating that many of the write-errors were due to using this combination instead of a full size card.
Sure, it'll work, but it's not optimal.

Thanks for the quick response guys. Much appreciated. I guess I’m better off with a solid connection in the camera and an adapter to the laptop. I’ll drop down to 64gb as well.
