I’ve got RPM coming in on the RPM line. Where’s he getting water temp? ECU?

That's odd. Normally ISO 9141/2 for both.

He's on the ISO protocol https://www.aim-sportline.com/downlo...-2_101_eng.pdf In my experience, the RPM was too slow to be of much use. Water temp is slow, but it's ok for reading that.

If any Rennlister's still want in on the TPMS deal, email me at matt@trailbrake.com. I shipped a bunch of full dashes and systems since Turkey Day and can keep the ball rolling!

If you're on the fence, check out the video for what you can do with the data

Oh, cool. So I currently have rpm coming in on the MXL2 RPM line. I’m planning to hook TPMS up to the CAN +/- lines. I can then hook ECU to the Kline to get water temp and other inputs, like fuel level?

Thank you Matt for explaining and helping yesterday, I need to figure out what to do with the water temp sensor,

On the K line, you can only get water temp and RPM on my 98. I believe I can use PIN 9 for RPM instead of the K line. The issue is I will lose the water temp reading.

There is no fuel level reading from the K line on my car. The TPS is borderline useless

You are correct in what you plan to do. The ECU and Kline are one or the other. If you want water temp, you are better off adding the sensor. You'll get better data and be able to use the TPMS.
