So AiM provides with the PDM purchase, at no additional cost, a converter for a pulsed-RPM-signal-to-CAN protocol, that then the PDMxx and AiM s/w understands?
Is it one of the current Manufacturers/Models in the RS3-beta CAN2 selection menu? (That is, how can I set up RS3-beta to mimic this?)
The second revision of PDM hardware has/is being produced and I *think* they added the RPM input already. If not, they can provide the RPM to CAN converter and the protocol. Installing it would be the RPM lead from your car to the converter, then the CAN high and low from the converter to CAN1 high and low on the PDM. I do not see the protocol in the ECU list right now. I'll ask about the RPM input being added and report back.

The RPM input was not added right now, so it will be the simple CAN converter. I don't have the protocol yet, but it will be a simple one, in the ECU list, and just have the RPM channel. For playing with configs, I would pick any protocol that has a small list to use on CAN1 so you can do your mock ups.

For anyone that needs them, I have dxf and 1:1 PDF files for the 10" and 6" displays. I'm sure the PDF files will be on the AiM website soon, but for folks printing or machining housings, the dxf will really help out. Matt@trailbrake.net
