The PDM32/10” TFT is a heck of a value at less than an MXG. Will be available after our initial units, their configurations and accessories are well sussed and track tested.

Nice unboxing shot. Wish I have a picture before I shipped them all out. Would have needed a wide angle add on for my phone!

The PDM is a great value, but it's important to remember it doesn't include the wiring. I should have my starter looms for people next week that will take a huge amount of work out of getting a unit in and running. It will be very nice and a first for these PDM units.

Only as a sales number. It doesn't include any harnessing, so you have to either buy a starter harness like I'm offering or make your own.

Will it not include a harness between the PDM and the Display?

It does include that. You get 70 Amp pins, gray shell, black shell, dash cable with ends, AiM exp 712 Binder with flying leads, the main power connector, and a GPS08. Without populating at least the Amp gray connector, you can even turn it on.

As Matt says, you get everything you need.

The kind of customer I sell these to are capable and equipped to do their own harnesses. If not, I can help and recommend many reliable suppliers here in motorsports central, North Carolina.

AMP connectors have been used on the Club level of MoTeC dashes (C12X), AIM MXL Pistas and Strada versions of the AIM TFT dashes for years.

Prepopulated plugs and pigtails are available now for many other applications and each install will require custom assembly using off the shelf components and readily available tools (except the Surlok crimper).

Don’t let Matt’s downer warning scare you off, if this is something you might need. This is a great choice for endurance cars and specialized builds. The packaging is nice and the price is right.

I'm curious why AIM chose to not use a stud for accepting +12v?

I don't know from them, but I would guess it had to do with the guaranteed shielding with the connector versus a stud.

Pretty good guess.

I found this funny - a special tool, a wrench? How does one crimp to the surlok fitting?

"An advantage of this type of connection, is that the user does not require any special tools to make a
connection or disconnection between the two. As they feature an automatic quick lock and press-torelease
function"

Thanks for the link - That quote is from the PDM manual, lol.
