Do you think there is any chance it’s the unit? I am going to check around the paddock at VIR this week to see if I can borrow an OBD-II cable and units to trouble shoot. This has been very frustrating, the last 6 weeks trying to figure it out. Again thanks for your input.
I do have the CAN cable. Is it difficult to wire in the 718 GT4?

I have just about every cable, accessory and complete unit by AiM in stock, so should not be a problem.

I have the same issue.
Trying to use the OBD2 plug in a 2021 718 GT4 w/ PDK
OBD_II - CAN (ver. 02.00.08) 500Kbit/sec
with both options (silent and pull up resistor un-checked)
I guess I'll look into directly connecting to the CANBUS.. I was hoping that this would be the easy way to get started.

I’ve never recommended OBDII connection protocols for Porsche or BMW. There is so much more information, rich with benefit to the user, and the connection can be made without tools and reversibly in a very short period of time with the harness I supply with every logger I sell.
See you soon. We have a full house with Randy Pobst, Mike Levitas and I joining forces to supercharge the attending driver’s knowledge base.

CANbus is the best connection in newer Porsches (and other cars). If you're dealer is cool, they will swap out the OBDII cable for a CAN cable. I'm not sure if Peter keeps any stock, but he could sell you one if he has it. I have them and can get one to you asap if you need it. https://trailbrake.com/solo-2-dl-2m-...l-ecu-harness/ Shipping to the hotel or where ever you need it to go is not problem.

Sorry to be a second hi-jack, but Peter, would your cable with a racecapture track? I have one currently in my BMW M2 that I had to tap into canbus (I believe I may have been the first to tap and record the CAN id's for the F8x series for Racecapture) but it uses vampire taps AutoSport labs provides for their E46 work around, and I'd rather find another solution that isnt quite as permanent on our upcoming vehicle when we get a 718 Cayman T so I can run data to SoloStorm.
Thanks!
Thanks!
