Default Steering sensor unit of measure

I ran at a new track this weekend, when I looked at my data, my steering is showing in inches. The data from the prior event two weeks prior, is in degrees. The only change was upgrade to the latest version of RS3.30.01

When scaled, the data is there, and proper.
It is a custom sensor, set up in deg units, now it seems I can only select inches or mm.

Any ideas where to look for this?

Ah! In the AiM Users Group on Facebook, Robbie Shay from AiM Sports suggested that this might be a known issue. You may need to build a new config.

Thanks,
I suspected a bug, since the SW changed,

i have all winter to sort it out (build a new configuration)

another question, is there an easy way to compare the differences of two configurations?

I believe Robinson was talking about preference UoM. I thought Robinson was talking caveman to SI, but I could be wrong.

Not that I know of. Did you put the latest FW in your dash prior to this event?

Well, it is a bug if capabilities disappear between executions, but Matt has a good point.

Since day one, AiM has always asked users to install both the latest version of firmwares along with the software. That is the first diagnostic step.

If you’re not able to enter (or see) units of measure, that’s a big deal.

Those of us who experienced the rapid rollout of RS3 and fw updates for the new gen dashes, where the fix was to write new configs from scratch, are well aware of this potential when a significant revision of the software (and fw) is released.

I take pictures, or print screenshots, of my current configs to use as models to rebuild from scratch.
