AiM just released some new layouts and configurations for the 1.2 loggers (MXS 1.2, MXG 1.2, and MXP). They let you select the font size, font, and color of the type on the page. There are also some new pages available as well. I've only looked quickly, but the updates are really great!

A special note - these new options require a FW update of the device as well. The new software version will prompt you to update the dash as well.

It is annoying that updates like this are for 1.2 only. Any sense of whether it will be coming for older versions?

I do not believe so, but I could be wrong. The 1.2 devices have different hardware and chipsets in them. That is why the back up camera and other features are available to them. I would suggest emailing AiM and asking if it's important to you.

Super important with 3.30.00 RS3 software to update the firmware and write a new config using this version of RS3.

This will likely be more reliable and dependable than retaining your config built from an older hw/sw release.

This has certainly been true for major sw updates since the MXL2.
