Default Laguna Seca 718 GT4 Clubsport MR Hot Laps

My first time at Weathertech Laguna Seca in my new 718 GT4 Clubsport MR during Kahuna at Laguna with PCA Club racing GGR.

Having some braking issues as the brakes were getting really spongy during these qualifying laps but hopefully by tomorrow that will be worked out before the big race.

Hope you enjoy and stay tuned as I will be uploading tomorrows race very soon.

P.S. Still working out the bugs with my VBox since they do not currently offer a protocol for the 718 CS.

It’s odd, that protocol is using the same .dbc for CAN that works in at least four other MR’s, the cable pinout is correct and you’ve switched the CAN polarity with no change. There could be an issue internally with the patch cable. Will look into sending another.

Nice session. Did you make the scene file? It will be good when it's all working and you have throttle and brake.

Is that a Solo or Solo DL you have?

Neither it is a VBox that I purchased from Peter above.

I know the video is vBox. But next to the A pillar on the suction mount looks a lot like an original Solo or Solo DL.

Yes, look very much like there is a DL in the car. I wonder if the VBOX is hooked up to it and not he ECU direct.

No, there is an RLCAB015L to a DT06-04S for power/ground/CAN+/CAN- on the car now. PMNA specifically placed this on a bulkhead just inside the passenger side door sill for this purpose.

Power and ground in this application work, and the CAN out is for MoTeC/AiM/VBOX and AliveDrive (Cosworth’s video solution) works in several other installations with VBOX and AiM both. Have done it.

We tested the cable today and it seems fine.

Meet someone over at BRR at Laguna Seca today that said he has a working scene for my car so I will try to test it out, so far have not had luck with the ones I have tried.

The full sprint race #2 on Saturday.

Had a blast and had some fun trying to catch and pass the silver Cayman in front of me towards the end of the race.

Great that you got it working by selecting the "Send Acknowledge" check box and setting the bus speed to 500!

Can't wait to see the video!

Did things get resolved? It would be nice to see the video with all the data working.

Data is 90% there.

There were 2 for throttle position and it seems I had it on the wrong one as I could see on the circuit tools software brake pedal is the one to use.

Also gear is one higher then it should be so I might have to switch to math channel for it and ironically had the same issue with my AIM on my 981 CS.

Have a full one hour endurance race will upload in the next couple days.
