Default Brake pressure transducer adapter..

Hey gents,
I am setting up my car with a Motec brake pressure transducer and here is the set up I'm running. This is a very clean compact way of doing it as it avoids any flexible brake lines. Obviously you can use other pressure transducers that are widely available besides Motec but you get the idea.

It consists of:

1x Motec 2000psi pressure transducer
1x EPDM O-ring (withstands brake fluid)
1x Male 10 x 1.0mm Metric convex seat to 3AN adapter
1x OEM brake line banjo fitting (914.355.531.00)
2x OEM copper crush washers (904.355.902.00)
1x OEM Porsche Motorsport 12mm banjo bolt (993.355.517.80) - * No longer available

The PM banjo bolt is unfortunately no longer available so I had several of these manufactured based on exact measurements I took off of the original part. Essentially it is an exact replica of the PM part machined out of stainless steel. It directly accepts the 12mm OEM brake line bubble flare fitting. I had to have a minimum number of these made and as such I do have a few extras of these if anyone decides to go down this route. The banjo bolt is shown in the last 3 pictures below. Hope this helps someone looking for a way to do this.

Cheers!

Any chance on making more of the banjo bolts? My 944 mc uses m10 bubble flare on both front and rear ports. I can’t tell if this would fit (you say m12) but the mc looks like an m10 bubble flare (at least the one you don’t have this installed on)

any issues with bleeding? I’ve been trying to figure out how to add a break transducer to my vbox system

Both the front and rear ports are M12 on the 997GT3 MC. Same as on a Boxster. I do have a few more of the banjo bolts but they are M12.

Dizzyj

I've used these 10 mm tees and they work well.

I do now actually have the 10mm banjo bolt set up if you need that to work with your M10 bubble flare. I you still want it, I can send it to you as shown including the O-ring that you would need on the transducer side. The only thing you will need are 2 copper 10mm ID crush washers which you can get for a few pennies at any auto parts store. PM for details.

This might be a stupid question, but when installing this assembly, once the brake line is disconnected from the output of the MC, how does one insure brake fluid from the reservoir or in the system does not leak out while the rest of the assembly is being installed? Also, how does one insure that there is no air trapped in the system between the banjo bolt and the pressure sensor itself.

mount the transcuder pointing down such that air bubbles up into the line and gets removed during bleeding.

If anyone wants to use this kit with an AiM system, I have (1) M10 KA 2,000 psi sensor with a Binder connector on it. It's available here https://trailbrake.com/ka-m10-thread...essure-sensor/ if you are interested.
