I run Windows under Boot Camp on my Apple hardware (as I type this on my Dell XPS13 at Sebring), no issues.
Parallels and VMWare can have port selection and coms errors if not done correctly.
AiM is not available in Mac OS native applications. Only VBOX's Circuit Tools 2 is Mac OS native.
