AiM can Import Trackmate data!
I've been waiting to be able to announce this, but with the new release of RS3 and RS2 Analysis, it's out in the open. Race Studio 2 can now import Traqmate data files for analysis. AiM has purchased the exclusive rights to the data file format from Traqmate and has created a simple file import feature.
For everyone that has a legacy Traqmate system, this makes a switch to AiM systems much easier. You'll still have all your old data for analysis and historical purposes (like all those old fast laps and mileage for maintenance). It will also let you compare your Traqmate data against a friend's AiM data! For anyone that wants to make the switch to AiM, I can offer some great trade in value on ANY Traqmate system (or parts) to apply to your new AiM system. Just let me know! |
I can't believe my eyes! I actually just googled "importing Traqmate data to AiM" and saw this thread. Great news. I had issues updating to the latest RS3 however.....anyone else have issues? I got an error during installation.

Looks like MacAfee was blocking my installation. I deleted it and then I was able to install it without issue. I did a couple of real quick TM file imports into RS3 and it looks really good!
|
Matt, I have downloaded the newest version of RS2 and wanted to download some traqmate files, can you point me in the right direction?
Thx. |
File then import Traqmate.
|
Matt,
That is where I was looking, but Traqmate was not one of the three choices. The ones I see are: netcar pro Assetto Corsa Chassis Sim I am using RS2 ver 2.56.44 |
I had the old version of RS 2 running, now I have the newest version and found the import traqmate. I am getting the following message...the files are currently on my hard drive.https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/rennlis...9435a6b18f.png

Try placing the Traqmate files in the same path as your AIM data files are stored. When I did that, the import worked.

It had worked without a problem, but I'm having trouble right now too. I have an email into the software guys and I'll report back as soon as I hear anything.
|
Have people tried both tqs and tqm files?
|
I thought I did, but I'll see. The raw session files (uncompressed) are .tqm files, the analysis (compressed, with the User Profile GUI saved as part of the file) are .tqs
You can open and manipulate session files, then save the changes (generate a file of the same name, only an analysis file) or not (the session file is unmolested). |
....after several gyrations and loading the latest version of RS3 and then putting the files in the RS3 /user/data file folder I was able to get two of the four files to load today. I will work on the other two tomorrow. All of the files are of the .tqm variety.
