Default SCHD memory card question

I'm going to my SCHD in some endurance racing soon. I'd like to have each driver supply their own card so we can track sessions easier and review video after each driver change. Can i just swap cards or is there some kind on config data on there for the data overlay? See the photo below, there are several zip files containing what looks like overlay info. Are the RUN and MD5 files needed?

Thanks

Nope. No other files are needed.

Upon initial installation of a correctly formatted card (FAT32, NOT exFAT or NTFS), the SmartyCam will create the DCIM and log folders.

You're good to go. Just don't remove the card before the camera has STOPPED recording and the SD card icon in the preview screen is NO LONGER red.

The .zip files are the compressed configuration and GPS tracks list that have been loaded to the card or camera and expanded into the MD5 files. Normally, you would go to Menu>Settings>Conf Load>Select ALL to load those on the camera.

The .run files are firmware update files. Not sucked up by the camera until putting it in the firmware update mode via a connected computer or by pressing the power AND Select button simultaneously and immediately releasing the power button. Then, release the Select button when the Linux penguin pops up.

The latest is .64, I believe, but I wouldn't recommend leaving multiple firmware files on the card.

My pleasure! If the camera is putting the right stuff on the screen of the video and has the track maps you want on there, leave it alone.

Default Memory Module

Hi Brainofjjj

If you want to look at data after each driver change and you have a current generation logger, the Memory Module is a perfect add to your system. List price is only $179. You can pull the memory card during the pit stop even if the engine is running. Peter and I both sell them. They are becoming pretty popular.

Thanks for the idea. Once i get my MXL2 and sensors installed i'll look at adding this. Wish the video could be stored to it as well.

As an additional note, if you plan on using comparemylaps.com (which you should for the drivers), make sure you save the log files. They are small, but you have to remember to get them.
