Default For Sale: AIM SmartyCam SD, AIM RPM Bridge, AIM GPS Antenna, AIM CAN/Mic 4M Cable

For Sale: AIM SmartyCam SD (Sold), AIM RPM Bridge, AIM GPS Antenna, AIM CAN/Microphone 4M Cable

Important : This package is currently set up as a plug and play (Electronically) for 5-Speed 928’s, in that the RPM bridge has a relay plug on one end that provides switched power for the whole system and RPM pulses for the RPM bridge. This relay plug will probably not work with any other Porsches, but can be be easily removed to allow the RPM bridge to connected to whatever is required.

Here is video output of the entire system in use:

SmartyCam SD ( Has all latest firmware installed), SOLD!:

Includes an assortment of 8GB and 16GB Micro-SD cards and the Mini-USB Cord

Full Details here:

Important: This unit was “field repaired” two seasons ago. The mounting point on the bottom has been repaired with JB Weld. It is ugly but mechanically sound and held up for an entire season attached to a RAM ball mount.

AiM RPM Bridge (SMC Bridge), MC-539: $160
This kit allows you to connect your AiM SmartyCam (see above) to display and log RPM on any car -- even without an ECU or an AiM data logger! Simply connect the RPM Bridge to the wiring in your vehicle. ( per above, I have set this up for plug-n-play in a manual 928) The Bridge then connects to the standard SmartyCam CAN cable, allowing you to overlay RPM data on your videos. The RPM Bridge can accept a square wave signal (from an ECU) or a pulsed signal (from a standard ignition coil). It also has a built-in signal filter to "clean up" unstable RPM signals that can cause erratic readings.
The RPM Bridge can also be used to supply the RPM signal to an AiM display (MXL Display, G-Dash Display, or Formula Car Wheel).
Note: The RPM Bridge does not log any data itself, all data is passed to SmartyCam for logging.

External GPS Antenna for Original Smarty Cam, 4M Cable, Always Internally Mounted ( So not exposed to weather) MC-425: $110
This is the external GPS antenna for the second-generation AiM SmartyCam (Part No. MC-540) between 2009 and 2013. No setup required. Simply plug it into the camera, and it automatically does the rest.
The second-generation SmartyCam can be identified by the two round plugs on the back panel. The first-generation SmartyCam, with just one round plug, does not use an external GPS antenna. The SmartyCam HD uses a different GPS receiver.

SmartyCam CAN Cable with In-Line External Microphone, 4M, MC-545: $50

This special CAN cable plugs into the CAN port on the original AiM SmartyCam (2009-2013) or the current AiM SmartyCam HD Rev 2 (2015+) to connect to your AiM data logger, SMC Bridge, etc. An external microphone is incorporated into the cable. The input from this microphone automatically mixes with the sound from the SmartyCam internal microphone for enhanced sound. Measures 4M (13 feet) long.
This CAN cable has a 7-pin 712 (screw-in) connector on the camera end. It is not compatible with the SmartyCam HD, which has a 5-pin plug.

All prices do not include shipping, and are summarized below. PayPal or local pickup with cash. I am open to trades +/- cash for other AIM hardware or 928 S3 parts

Two more things.

This system will log all the data a Solo will PLUS RPM! Pull the microSD card, open RS2 and select "Download data from SmartyCam mSD card." So it is a pretty full featured system capable of a lot more than just measure laden video. Amazing, really.

Second is that if you're worried about the plastic case being cracked and repaired, you can have the case replaced easily and pretty reasonably. Let me know if I can help.
