Default Gummi Pflege on windshield wipers

I wonder how many people use a rubber protectant on windshield wipers. I have been using 1EZ Gummi Pflege on all rubber seals for the past ten years as well as on the windshield wipers extending the life from one year to three years. Every time I wash my car, about once a week I make sure to remove the wipers to clean them and apply Gummi on top and bottom of the wipers. This OCD technique has serve me well protecting not only the wipers but also the windshield against scratches.

I only thing I prescribe to do is keep them clean by wiping them down with straight alcohol. A bare/clean wiper blade (in good condition) won't cause marring to glass. A dirty one (via increased abrasion) will.

I was wondering about this just this last weekend. So no issues with residue on the windshield?

Not if you clean the excess. I also use Opti Glass to minimize the use of wipers.

I tried this over the weekend and had no issues whatsoever. Worked great. Thanks for the tip!
