Paint detailing
 

I am looking for a step by step DIY thread for restoring the finish on my Arctic Silver 993. The paint is in decent shape with a few swirls and the usual road rash on the front.
From what I understand the main steps are:
-wash and car thoroughly
-clay bar
-polish with a compound appropriate for level of scratches & swirl marks
- seal with wax or polymer sealer

Hi Allan,

I can write a long step by step for you to help out. But, there alot of variables depending on which products & machines you have access to. I would highly recommend checking out AMMO NYC on youtube. He has made a career of step by step detailing videos. I think that may give you a really good idea of what should be done and also a video of how it should be done. I have been meaning to make how to videos for my clients that prefer to buy our products and do it at home. Time just keeps getting away from me lol.
