Default Detailing Odds & Ends

Forums were a great place for me to learn about detailing and detailing products. There are a bunch of random things that make detailing easier for me and you can't order most of them on a car car site. I just had to find them over time. I decided to post my favorites...hope you do to!

1. Shoes – I’m pathetic and can’t keep my shoes dry. Instead of trying I have shoes that at least drain the water.

2. Rubber garden hose from Ace – works way better than any other hose I’ve ever used.

3. Small, collapsible stool (working on wheels / tires):

4. Adjustable metal shelves – create perfect spacing for your stuff:

5 . Power Blanket – when it’s cold out, the difference between a cold bucket of water and lukewarm is HUGE. These bad boys take about 4 hours to get cold water to lukewarm but it is so worth it. I filter my water before I use it (CR Spotless) so getting warm water from inside the house isn’t an option.

6. Bucket Dollies – I assume most have these and you can get them on almost any care care site.

7. Retractable extension cord reel -

That's all I've got for now!

Just learned that a little peanut butter (creamy) will clean up the plastic bits on your car that have become stained from wax. Tried it out last night and was shocked at how well (and quickly) it worked. Just wipe it on and right back off. I have black side skirts (4S) and they were looking pretty sad.

It would be better if I just learned to be more careful when I wax the car but old habits die hard.
