Default Can you recommend a synthetic wax?

I have a newer 911 that I use as a DD(but always garage kept) and I would like to start using a synthetic wax on the car. I don't get the chance to wash the car too often and my longtime go-to wax -- P21S carnauba based wax -- does not provide the long-term protection the paint needs.

I haven't used a synthetic wax in awhile and I'm not too familiar with the products on the market today. What is a good, long-lasting synthetic wax that I can apply by hand? Thanks.

When you wash the car I would recommend using a spray wax during the drying process. That will add a layer of protection between the waxing. As far as synthetics, NXT Tech from Meguiars is pretty good as is Zaino. Zaino will likely last a bit longer and will have more reflection.

Optimum
They make the best no rinse item (ONR) and also great QD and wax

As noted above, wash car, then spray each panel with your choice of Optimum QD or wax, then dry...insures each panel is wet (reducing scratch risk) and adds protection.

In this situation, I would recommend a SEALANT like Opti-Seal. Very easy to apply (no way to mess it up), lasts about 6 months. The best solution would be a nano coating like Opti-Coat or CQuartz (or something like it), but you'll really need to have that done following a full paint correction....but it'll last 2 yrs.

I've used Opti-Seal for about 5 yrs and like the extra protection it gives me that wax alone does not (ie bird droppings, etc).

I agree that this would suit your needs for a protection product

Menzerna Power Lock is great

We have used Sonax Polymer Net Shield over the last few years and it has proven to be a crowd favorite.

Optimum Car Wax is user friendly, quick, and provides great results. Simply spray it on the vehicle as you dry after washing. It'll aid in the drying process while providing a nice layer of protection. You can spray it on the glass, trim, rubber, etc.

I remember doing European Delivery on a 2009 E92 M3 and as soon as I took delivery I drove the car to the BMW WELT garage to apply Menzerna Powerlock by hand with foam applicator that I brought from the states. Still using Powerlock today and top it off with Collinite wax.

Getting ready winter, I applied Opti-Coat to my daily driver this past weekend....could not have been easier. After a minor paint correction, a wipe down with IPA, I applied the Opti-Coat. It has rained for the past few days and the incredible beading gives me a good idea that the coating is there and providing protection. I can see how the claims of being hydrophobic keep the car cleaner or make it easier to clean. I'll be interested to see how long it lasts
