Default Wheel cleaner recommendation?

Tried Meguires blue foaming cleaner from the parts store and wasn't impressed with the result or how far it went (mostly gone after just 8 wheels = $1/wheel). I saw a demo of Sonax spray wheel cleaner on YouTube that looked good, but I read that it can stain aluminum wheels and soften the factory caliper paint.

Take wells off for best access and leverage.

Use a quality wheel cleaner like PS21.

Wax wheels with a couple coats of RejeX wax.

Spray with Armor All Wheel Protectant.

Remount wheels. Next time wheels with cleanup with warm soapy water. No wheel cleaner required.

we haven't had any issues with Sonax Full Effect Wheel Cleaner its amazing stuff.

Which wheels are you afraid of cleaning with it?

But if you have any doubts you should try the P21S Wheel Cleaner Gel.

The way we clean wheels at the shop

OEM Cayenne Turbo 5-spoke 18's.
I also found that a foaming spray is a PITA because of uneven coverage and getting it behind the spokes.

+1

Although I skip the wax since I'm not sure if it will reduce the capabilities of the Armor All Protectant.

Eagle One A2Z. I always hit the wheels with a quick spay of water first and then apply. Then use a soft bristle brush to agitate after about 2-3 min of soak time. Bam. Clean as a whistle.

I also use CG Diablo wheel cleaner with good results. For really dirty wheels, I use Brown Royal.

Lot's of advice... so I'll give you mine.

Sonax or Adam's Deep Wheel Cleaner. They both work so well!

I have been using the SONAX or P21 Gel cleaner. Sonax works great on the tough grime.
