where to buy porsche body paint

I just bought a 1983 944 that has a dent on the front right fender which I want to fix and respray (the whole fender). the paint on the rest of the car is in great shape.

Does anyone know where I can buy porsche paint? I believe my color is Gemini grey FWIW.

Thanks!

Does anybody know who the supplier of paint was to Porsche in the mid 90s?

I thought it was Glasurit which also supplied to Mercedes but I'm not 100% sure. Maybe someone can confirm this....

Paint code for the Satin Black 944 B-pillar

Is there a paint code for the satin black used on the B-Pillars of 944s? I have a '91 S2 and need to repaint the B-Pillars and the hoop spoiler on the hatch.

From a Rennlist thread...I can't vouch for its accuracy.

xxx-y-z

xxx = paint code

y = factory
8 = ??? perhaps Karmann or other coach factory
9 = Porsche factory

z = paint supplier
1 is for Lesonal
2 is for Glasurit
3 is for Herberts
4 = ?

I know this is a very old thread but read the customer reviews on Paintscratch.com. Enough said. Yes, my pro body shop says that Glasurit is the Porsche paint they use and apparently the current brand. Now, try to go buy a pint as a consumer. Can't find it.
