Default Clearcoat peeling

My '89 928 S4 has some serious clearcoat issues. It's strictly a daily driver type car. I'm pretty sure the only solution to the clearcoat flaking is a total respray. But I would like to know what is possible in the meantime to make it a little more presentable.

Sorry to see and hear of this but nothing can really be done short of a repaint to make it look better.

Your options are this.....
a. Leave it & deal with it ( it will get worse)
b. repaint.
