Default Menzerna question

I have been using the Griot's system for a while with the PC RO. I would like to try the Menzerna polishes. This is all on my 2000 Black C2. I am a bit confused on which polishes to use and how many steps. My paint is very good but does have some fine swirls and holograms. Isn't black wonderful! Anyway my thought is to start with Super intensive polish and then go to PO85RD, but what about 106FA and Nano polish?

Any help would be appreciated.

Personally, I would try intensive polish first, then Micro polish. I think if your paint is already in good shape with combo would work very well. SIP and 106ff are a bit more aggressive than what you may need.

Greg go with SIP and follow up with PO85RD I really think that will give you the best look.

If you decide to go with IP then still finish up with PO85RD trust me on that one with a black car..

Before SIP and 85RD- (swirls from a Z06 with 3k on it)

After SIP

After 85RD

For most paint correction PO 106 FA / 106 FF (LC White at 1200 RPM) and PO 85 D3.01 polishes (LC Blue foam pads at 1000 RPM) should be all you need.

QUESTION: Has the Griots system been good enough for you?

I have been using the Griots system since I got my 99C2 and thought that the results were very good. I ask this question because I would like to look at different solutions to getting better results if possable.

So far I have been able to keep the scratches pretty much out of my paint by using the Polish 3 that comes with the Griots Kit. Then use Paint Sealer then Best of Show with good results.

I think it's important to note that if you find something that works and you're happy with it then stick with it. If for some reason you're not getting desired results or if the products are very difficult to work with then that is reason to try something new.

I've been using Meguiars Dual Action Cleaner Polish for years with awesome results and when the bottles done I see no reason to switch.

Guys,

I have to say that I was happy with the Griot's untl I used the Menzerna polishes. I have just started, but the results are significantly better than I was ever able to achieve with the Griot's. I lost my camera, but as soon as I replace it I will post pictures. Big thanks to Phil over at Detailers Domain for the help and recommendations.

Greg,

Which polishes did you try and did you make any changes to the equipment you used?
