Sorry to revive....but how do you detail/wash engine without killing the coil packs?

we typically do this when the engine is warm, once we rinse it down we will turn the motor on and blow off the excess water.

as well you don't want to purposely hit the coils, just hit them quick and move on, engine clean ups should not take too long.
