My good friends at the local Porsche dealer called me and asked if I was up for a challenge? I said "Sure, what ya got?"

Well what I had waiting for me was a wreck, previous owners really abused this Porsche. Seats were filthy, ink stains, shoe prints everywhere and heavy soil on the mats.

Here is what I discovered upon lifting up the seats.

These people liked to eat while driving! Well I set about cleaning with a thorough vacuuming first and then cleaning up the sticky crustaceous icky leftovers. Here is where my steamer saves the day. Pre-soak with some cleaner and then blast away.

Properly cleaned and ready for its new owners.






I have a BEFORE of the passenger rear back of the seat but an AFTER of the driver side..DOH!....You'll get the idea though of just how dirty they were.

I found alot of ink pens in this car which would account for the lovely ink trails. Here is what the back of the front seats looked like after being cleaned.






The driver side was the worst with really dirty carpets and blue jean transfer on the seat. I have found that Cayenne leather is notorious for leather transfer....more so than others or so it seems.






After -






Rear seats had alot of dirt embedded in them with some ink stains also.





The ink stains were worked out with Leathermasters "Super Cleaner". This is a very strong cleaner and can actually remove color so it should be used with extreme caution.


After cleaning and steamed -





The exterior paint work was in really sad shape. In fact after I cleaned I figured it looked better dirty I'll leave those pictures for another time as I haven't finished the exterior detail work yet.

My jaw broke when I saw the before/after results. Thats way longer than the 5 sec rule.

I cant wait to see the exterior results.

Anthony, you really should consider Detailing workshops around the nation. Im sure PCA, POC or Rennlist members would pony up the cash to pay your fees for a weekend just to learn your techniques. I know I would, in fact you should come out to the PCA Parade this summer in San Diego and show off your work and hold a workshop or two.

No I'm not in the Dallas area nor do I have any workers up there as I am a one-man operation basically but I will be in Dallas for 3 days come this Spring....God willing.

We will be detailing a few P-cars over those days.
