Bringing this up from the dead:
I have a black/black 1990 928GT (single stage black, no clear coat) that I'm readying for Sunday's concours in HB, SoCal (displaying, not getting judged). I used NXT once, about three months ago and have some spotty hazing/clouding and minor swirl marks on the hood and fenders that clearly need to go. I washed last weekend with Griot's wash concentrate and then clayed it. The paint is now nice n' smooth but the clouding is still present.
My plan was to:
1. Wipe the whole car with 50:50 isopropyl/water to get rid any residual silicone oil.
2. Polish with Griot's Machine Polish 3 on my 7424
3. 3M Imperial Hand Glaze with the 7424
4. One Grand Carnuba with the 7424 and wool bonnets
OR-
4a. Rejex, let sit overnight and buff out.
These are the products I have on hand. Any thoughts/ comments on order of operations, product choices, etc?
