Default Cleaning inside of wheels help needed

My new 91 C2 has 2 year old Kinesis K10 wheels which the PO did not clean regularly. I had them disassembled and am having the center, which was the anodized grey, acid washed and painted artic silver. I am trying to clean the inside of the wheels but cannot get it clean. I have used Simple Green undiluted and that seemed to start the process, but dirt and road debris remains. What solvent can I safely use? I need to be careful since the outer portion is chromed...

Thanks!!!!!!!!

Use this http://www.topoftheline.com/32ozwheeltir.html

Dilute it slightly with water at first then sponge it on the areas you want cleaned, let it dwell a few minutes then agitate with a brush and rinse.

If that doesn't do the trick then use it full strength.

I use the same cleaner on all my Ferrari, Maserati and Porsche wheels and have so for years so it's safe for chrome, clear coated wheels. Sponge it on aluminum wheels.
