to be installed "professionally"?
So many choices
Did you you just find a shop you trust and go with their preferred product?
Or
Did you find a shop that uses a specific product? If so, why?
If it makes any difference, its a new car with dark blue metallic paint.
Cheers

The market is so saturated at moment, that it’s becoming more and more difficult to decipher the real technology from marketing/hype
many products are private labeled by a few suppliers. And what makes it even more confusing is certain ppf/tint manufacturers have private labeled and are now pushing the stuff through their network of installers
The best costings were coming from Japan, so that’s a starting point there
but as others have mentioned, seek the installer, and if he/she is truly knowledgeable and passionate about the craft, then they’ll be using a solid product
call around, ask questions like what’s the warranty? The honest ones will tell you warranty isn’t worth the paper it’s written on. To this day, I don’t know of any tool that objectively tests a failed coating and deciphers between installation error, product failure, or poor home care…so how can you warranty?
and a proper prep, paint correction if needed, and coating installation takes several day to perform …you can’t do it in a few hours
I’m a little biased towards the CarPro/CQuartz network mainly because you can’t buy your way in and you need to constantly educate and attend annual summits to keep up on product knowledge, customer service, and self-improvement…I don’t know of any other network that checks all those boxes
Even our competitors have respect for this honorable and knowledgeable network of dedicated installer
https://cqfinest.com/find-an-installer-2/
hope this helps

Agree that the technician and trust in the shop is going to be the most important thing. I've had great luck with CQuartz.
The reason I choose the shop is that many of these coatings are going to be similar enough that I need the installer to be the one that has the skill to polish the paint. I also need to trust who I'm leaving my car with. There's even plenty of shops that are considered "the best" and then once you actually see there work you'll think otherwise. Going to the shop, talking with them and feeling comfortable is important. Sometimes even that is not enough, but it does help.
