I detailed my Speedster this weekend and noticed a glossy spot on the black matte trim (it is a semi circle underneath the 3rd tail light). Is there a good way to get it out?

I have not seen the matte trim up close but is it plastic or painted?

If plastic, I have had good results with Nextzett Deep Plastic Cleanrer. I have used it to get sunscreen off interior panels with good results.

Another option for painted surfaces is Adam's All Purpose cleaner.
