Lightbulb Replace your Pollen / Cabin Filter

CHANGE your own pollen filter / cabin filter!

Tools/parts required
ˇ torx 20 screwdriver (T-20)
ˇ a flashlight
ˇ your fingers
ˇ new pollen filter

STEPS
1) Remove your floor mat out of the way (not pictured), trust me you enjoy that little extra space
2) Remove 1 screw with your torx 20 screwdriver. It is in the front middle of the panel
3) Carefully pry the panel off. I did it with just my fingers starting from the left side
4) Remove the air duct, use your fingers to pry it off from the retaining catch / latch. The other side is just a slip off / on
5) Remove the cover blocking access. I was able to remove it from the RIGHT side and got it to swing down but I have heard others remove it from the LEFT side first? YMMV (use only your fingers)
6) using your fingers, remove the old pollen filter (careful, it might be DIRTY!)
7) install the new filter. NOTE the Airflow DIRECTION arrows. The arrows should be pointed toward the engine. If using the official Porsche Pollen Filter, the gold side is closer to the engine.
Re-installation of parts is just reverse of the removal.

1st time? (30+ minutes)
subsequent replacements? (15-20 minutes)

Just one tiny comment - the cover that holds the filter in the HVAC box has a latch on the left side. If you have a tiny finger you can get up to it and open it. If not - a small flathead screwdriver can be put inside the loop on it and moved so the catch releases.

If you break the catch - no need to replace it - Porsche provides a screw hole in the cover and a hole in the case where you can use a pointy self-tap screw to hold the cover in. They think of almost everything..
