Will the Brake Pad Workshop light cause the check engine light to come on?

Or is this just a coincidence?

It did go out after driving the car for a few miles.

If it comes back on I will take it into Porsche and have them run the diagnostic codes.

Thanks
SUZU

Sorry for the late response.

On a Cayenne S,

Your rotors will be 350x34mm for the fronts and 330x28mm for the rears. Zimmerman Coat Zs are OEM standard.

to all, great info for the first time DIYer. i just finished the front and am starting on the rear but I have to wait until tomorrow for the triple square tools. still not sure on sizes. m16, m6, m15, t47 or t50. a bit confusing. maybe ill get them all.
the only problem w the step by step directions with pics is that at one point it says to put brake grease on pads and later on it says caution, don't put brake grease on back of pads.
i left the grease off. hope i don't get brake noise.

"You will also need 2 Triple Square/XZN Bits for the rear brakes, M5 and M16. I measured w/ a digital caliper and the "M" seems to roughly equate to "mm". (I could not find these locally and the best deal I could find was the "VIM 8-piece XZN set on Amazon for around $30. Your other source would be Snap-on at around $72 for 2 bits)"

No grease needed.

Just for any one out there needing sizes..... I am a "free baser" because I bought the V6.......heres a break out.

I almost improperly bought 350mm fronts and 330 rears....

Here are the caliper colors/rotor sizes for fronts
V6/Black Caliper:330mm
V8/Silver Caliper:350mm
V8TT/Red Caliper:350mm
V8TTS/BIG Red Caliper:380mm

Med tech I am going to AutohauzAZ, great cost on rotors!!!

Anything above 50 bucks is shipped for free.

I can not comment on the Zimmermann being OE -- but they do not list it as such - and they are normally accurate. I get a lot of stuff from them

The Zimmerman stuff is normally very good.

I bought the whole kit from Sunset -- and the rear rotors I think are $91.00. So it is a little more with shipping. I have had such good luck with the OE stuff that I would rather not play around.

Please report back about the parts -- it would be great information for the future.

I know that Brembo is now making some stuff in China:nono:

Guys, just a quick check: are the 380mm TTS rotors OE from Zimmermann? If so, does anybody know the Zimmermann part #? I tried to find it, but no luck...

mudman2 03-04-2011 05:03 PM

Thats a question thats been asked before I am pretty sure they are not the OEM and the dealer may be the only source

Are there any manufacturers that have produced stainless-steel rotors for the Pepper?
