speaking strictly to the logistics this shows owners how to make their armrest slide or not slide, correct?

the only difference is that the US vehicles have those two T15 screws installed?

By the way, I wonder why Porsche didn't adopt the armrest design from the Audi Q8. In this car, the armrest has all the necessary functions. It can be moved forward/backward, locked, and also set at an angle up/down.

funny you mention that this thread reminded me of the days when i had an armrest that would angle up/down. seems like a basic function that could be easily included.

For the price we paid, it should scratch our arm and give us a massage.

so i will embarrass myself and say…it is something i could see myself doing particularly in my 20s or 30s. the past 10 years or so I’ve focused on being more ethical. i don’t think it is the worst thing in the world - so long as the vehicle isn’t damaged. if it were damaged, i think the obligation would be to report it when you turn it back in. they would probably just say thanks for telling us and maybe fix it or maybe do nothing. i had an audi loaner and when i turned it in i told them i went over the toll bridge a few times. 5 to 6 bucks a pop. they told me doesn't matter they will take care of it. so i told them which was ethical, they said doesn’t matter. i suspect if he told them he took apart the armrest for a diy post but nothing was damaged, they’d likely say okay thanks for telling us.

You know that I felt guilty by putting a baby seat in the rear seat of the loaner Macan I got because I didn't use a seat cover. But this takes the cake! lol

Base Macans 4 cylinder engines that my dealership has most of as loaners. Recently was the only time I recall that I received a Cayenne Coupe as a loaner from them. I’m grateful for the Macan loaner as well but would not enjoy owing one.

I had an X5 loaner while my BMW was in for service and ended up getting a $125 parking ticket—it was stuck under the wiper when I got back. I had parked for about an hour (I was buying a pair of Alden boots—love those things) and didn’t realize I was at a yellow curb; it looked white to me, and it was raining. Technically, the ticket is the responsibility of the car owner—the dealership—but I went ahead and paid it myself the same day. They had my credit card and might’ve charged me anyway, but it didn’t sit right with me not to take ownership.

My Cayenne in for service today, and of course the standard loaner. 2025 hybrid.
In will say the rear 3D Porsche badging is nice looking.
Im going to try to remember to ask when I pick mine up to ask what available cars they have for loaners.

an actual ticket, yeah i would pay that. tolls are different. the car had a toll pass which billed their account.

That looks sick! Definitely snap more pics -- inside and out -- maybe with a nice backdrop too.

Lucky you, getting a hybrid as a loaner! 😉

Hope your car comes back all set. Was it just a routine service?
