Default 24' Cayenne S e-hybrid PCM issues

Ok, first Porsche, had it about 800 miles. Two weeks ago it stopped connecting to Porsche Connect. PCM works fine, but says no Internet and I get the two horizontal line icon on the right indicating no connection. Also have it connected to home WiFi and while it shows full signal for the WiFi, it also says no internet.

Took it in under warrantee two weeks ago and they still have no idea what's wrong. They gave me a loaner...but it's not the car I paid for.

Tried the long press on the volume **** to restart the PCM and deleted the WiFi settings. Didn't try disconnecting the battery; I'm a little worried about what else might not restart correctly from a battery disconnect.

So...questions:
  • I was fiddling with PCM settings, setting it up for our house wifi. Maybe I screwed up a setting here that triggered some connection bug?
  • Do other folks have issues with the PCM connectivity? Trying to figure out if this is something I'm just going to have to tread very lightly around and it's really unreliable, or if I do have a hardware issue.
  • New car..two weeks in the shop. Normal for Porsche? It was already in the shop for a few days (PPF application caused a check engine light). Seems pretty finicky for a $160k car.
Porsche Connect web site shows I have it on my account until mid-2027, so I don't think that's it.

Thx for listening to my rambles....

Several others report the same issue. One had the issue fixed, others have their dealers stumped and the problem is kicked up to Porsche mothership in Germany. Read all about it here:

Thanks for the link. Exact same issue. Well, at least it's known.

I have been having similar and posted here, no fix yet although the car had a fit for other reasons now:

Another car a friend bought that got delivery 2 weeks before (we both ordered at the same time) has had no issues.

that is my issue, car living at dealership. Talked to Porsche today and they ordered a combox but eta isn’t for 5 weeks. Car has been down since July 24 at dealer. Told them I want them to repurchase car. Should be hearing on that later this week.

yours now makes 4 cars that are MY24’s with this issue.

Sorry to hear that. I think I saw you have another about to be delivered, so here's hoping that one works better. I'm not ready quite yet for another year wait if I pursued the same, so holding out for a fix a while longer. Hopefully more cars with the same issue means a systemic problem and that pushes for a fix.

Just so we may be able to lock down this problem to a particular build timeline. My 2024 Cayenne S E Hybrid was completed on 3/22/2024.

these all sound like a batch production issue. My 24 was the first E Hybrid S into Texas. I wonder if any later ones have seen issues.
