Cayenne Turbo (GT or e-hybrid) vs BMX X5M vs …
#16
one thing I have found curious. Everyone seems to rave over the cayenne gt, but I see a ton on the used car market. I’m looking for one so I know there are quite a few. And most of them already have two or more owners. I’m just curious if you guys have any idea why? Not trying to be negative…honestly curious. Thanks
Lots of 2022s went to flippers as the rumors of them being more rare than a 3RS were going around - obviously do not think that is (or ever was) the case but wanted to answer your question. I think that is why you see some of MY2022 with multiple owners. The car is f***ing brilliant - so good I kept it over my Urus Performante. Cross shopping a x5M and a TGT shouldn't be considered. Different ownership, drive, performance, handling, "exclusivity" (sort of but low volumes), and price brackets. The BMW belongs in an RSQ8 discussion.

Won’t be popular for saying this but I preferred the X5M. The suspension was less stiff than my 991 with SPASM. To me the X5M was always sporty and playful. The Cayenne had better steering and exhaust note but the air suspension just sapped the sportiness for me…even in sport mode. It’s just too isolating.
The Turbo GT is another league up in price from the X5M but the styling and interior still seem a little dull to me.
At the end of the day the playful nature of the X5M and its better value proposition won the day. Love Porsche and own 2…but the SUVs are quite different from the other models IMO.
