24 Cayenne stop sale

As luck would have it, the timing chain broke on my X5 for which my Cayenne S would be a replacement. I'm inclined to just sit tight. I'm planning to either get a long-term rental or a Turo car in the meantime. We can all convince each other to hang in there!

TYD timeline
My TYD just changed the delivery date from 08.18 to 09.22; the crazy thing is that checking the timeline available on the TYD, it seems they will hold the car on the Port of entrance (living in US) from 08.13 to 09.20…

Yup. Mine's been at the port since 7/21 and has a delivery date of 9/21.

My TYD date changed a few days ago like the other comments. It moved from 8/5 to 9/26. It will arrive in Davisville tomorrow 8/5. I am not sure if I read that the software update will occur at the port and not the dealer. Appreciate a confirmation if this is correct. Thanks.

Thanks. Yes, unfortunately it will be sitting there. But I had ordered one of the first Mercedes SL55s and it sat in Baltimore for 4 months. At that point, I decided to pass since I didn't want a car that was sitting at the port for that long.

Davisville does have a lot of indoor storage unlike Baltimore, so fingers crossed ???

The info I have for EU petrol cars (Base and S only, no tgt here) is: week 32. So next week. Exact date is not yet confirmed but 99% it will be next week and will not change.
Hybrid week is 34. If the base and S happen next week then I will be optimistic!

Is this update for US cars as well? How accurate you think this information is? This wait is killing me! Thanks!

This is all my fault. Every Porsche I buy has to go through a stop sale...sorry. My Spyder sat in Houston for 6 months waiting on an engine replacement. That was a painful wait. Two years later, it's a distant memory and I just enjoy the hell out of the car. This one will be the same.
