I've Offcially Changed My Order to a 2020 From a 2019
After meeting with my dealer this weekend I decided to wait the extra few months and get a 2020, I also added black/bordeaux full lelather interior which I think will look stunning with a metallic white exterior, 21" exclusive wheels with gloss black insets and black rails/trim etc.

Dealers have allocations now for July builds with late Sept delivery providing no epa etc. issues. i was told as also mentioned here, only new option is lava orange which is replacing the champagne metallic color.

so if you don't order park assist with surround view, you still get the same rear camera without the surround view? I don't have surround view in my Macan Turbo and really don't need it

500RJC, I think I'd make the same choice. You're waiting anyway, so what's a few more months to remove a year of depreciation, and maybe get some behind-the-scenes revisions / fixes? Plus, you'll probably get one of the first 2020s, so you'll be in an exclusive little self-proclaimed club. My wife loved the fact that she was only the second 2019 Turbo delivered at our Dallas-Fort Worth dealer.

Yep -- rear camera is standard.

I have enquired with my SA about delaying my build, or finish for a 2020. I would rather wait a month and get a newer car...

Removing a year of depreciation is important for anybody. When I started this, I was under the impression my car would be here in late June, but now I'm seeing sometime in August, according to Porsche. So hells-bells, I'll just wait another month and get a 2020. That's what happens when your production takes four months, and you fall on the new year launch, some are going to punt. And I am punting.

I checked into it and my dealer has 1 allocation for a 2020 Cayenne Turbo build for November completion, with the expectation it would not get here before January, at best. There are not as many Turbo slots as there are base slots, and that's pretty well understood. They sell a lot of the base units, and rightfully so,..a great deal, IMO. They still don't have colors, options or pricing info yet.
So what appears to be a month wait will turn into a 6 month wait, and that's assuming it goes through the port quickly, and that's not been happening given all the issues with the EPA etc. So, unless I can get an earlier build, I'll likely stay firm where I am.
Dealers are being told by Porsche to expect up to a 4 month wait for the 992's that are on the boat right now to clear through the port. What a nightmare.
Thank RJC for information and input.
