There was one Purperite ordered at N. Scottsdale dealership, I saw it on the SA's computer. Cohiba Brown interior. I $hit you not. I'm pretty sure it was in transit when I saw it. I joked that it has to be for Marie from Breaking Bad...

They could use 3 white, 3 grey, 2 silver, 2 red hue options. Maybe through in a couple of Matte colors as well. Also and option to paint the white calipers. I’m sorry but they look terrible against most of the paint options. It’s like wearing white tube socks with a suit, you just don’t do it. That goes for the yellow ones as well.

I’ve decided to wait until the 2020 model in hopes that many of the little issues are worked out and more color options become available. Also, more tire options for the 21” wheels as the current ones aren’t great and overly priced for not even being run-flats

FYI, getting the calipers painted is a $1500 job at our dealer. They do it all the time. You can take that figure and double it if Porsche offered painted calipers as a factory option. Maybe you should be thanking Porsche for NOT offering it on the option list!

I gotta disagree with you again -- sorry. I think the white PSCB calipers are so unique, and advertise such a cool new braking technology, that they look good with almost all of the exterior colors. As for PCCB, yellow is what Porsche has chosen for them since Day One for their carbon-ceramics. No point in changing now. There's never any doubt what those calipers are clamping when you see banana yellow on a Porsche. I am a fan of uniformity and standardization across product lineups. I guess it appeals to my OCD.

$1500 isn’t terrible. I’ll have to check around in my area. You’re probably right about Porsche charging to have them painted but it would be nice to have it done at factory. I am actually OCD “mild though” and agree the white is unique but so are a lot of things I don’t find appealing. I certainly don’t feel the need to show off and advertise a new Porsche brake product with a color that looks out of place on a wheel “to my eyes” and not get paid for it. I promise you, most people don’t care about what kind of brake you have. In fact the majority people only see red as a high end brake and not yellow unless they own a Porsche and know what it is. Just my .02 Now I’m off to have left hand milk stout. Cheers 😊

Different strokes for different folks, I say, particularly in the color department. I happen to like body-color calipers too. Had a silver G37S about 10 years ago that had silver Akebono fixed calipers with the INFINITI label. Looked sharp. For a while they used gold Brembos, and they were cool — similar color to AMG carbon-ceramic calipers. Really like PSCB on Carrara White Cayennes — looks custom. Got huge red six-piston Brembos on our black Chevy. Looks okay. But I’m sorta past red.
YMMV. I like the uniqueness of Porsche’s optional brakes. And I can attest that people DO in fact notice the oversize 10-piston optional calipers on the Cayenne. I’ve had three strangers basically ask, “What the hell is going on in your wheels?” They look big in photos. In person, they border on ridiculous, size-wise.

Maybe that used to be the case. But with even Kia offering red paint on its cheap floating calipers from the factory, the last thing red calipers reliably represent anymore is performance. It’s just a lookie-loo thing now. Plus, you mentioned the faux pas of wearing white socks with a suit. You think red socks are fashionable?
